Kat,
I don't know anyone personally, but the subject does come up, here or in the judo forum.

BTW: When signing up, weren't the rules apparent enough for you? Please sign your posts with your full, real name. I mention it because you are more likely to get responses to your question if you do. The sig editor can be used to set it up as your default sig or you can sign all posts manually.

The Google keyword search "shooto Japan schools" turned up a list of gyms at http://www.shooto.net/en.htm . An Australian school on that list is:

Spartan Gym
Area Sydney
Address 167 Castlreagh Street
Sydney NSW 2000
Australia
Phone-number Tel 61 2 9283 6421
Fax 61 2 9283 6423
E-Mail www.boxingworks@ozemail.com.au
Instructors Larry Papadopoulos
Fighters Larry Papadopoulos, Alex Cook, Ian J. Schaffa

The Boxing Works' website is http://www.boxingworks.com.au/ , and presumably they could set you up with people they know over there.

If I remember correctly, E-budo member Peter Cech trains in Chinese MA in Japan. Look at the member profiles, and then send him a PM.

http://www.shooto.net/dojoe.htm

has a list, as Mr. Svinth has kindly pointed out.

if you really want the hookup on training Shooto in Japan, go to http://www.mma.tv and check out the Japan Forum. Make a post "Attn:Circus/Ryan Bow/Atkins". Circus and Ryan Bow train in Japan, and have some familiarity with the Japanese fight scene and Shooto. Well, Ryan Bow should have some familarity, as he is #2 in Shooto in the ~155lb weight class! ;) Todd Atkins can get you in contact with Ryan Bow if Ryan doesn't see the post, which might happen as he is a busy guy with some fights coming up.
