I am looking for a source for the rubber retaining rings used to hold a tsuba on it's bokken. There are thousands of bokkens out there, and they basically all come with those plastic tsubas and a rubber retaining ring, so I know there are at least a few companies out there who make them.

I've been doing lots of looking and lots of asking, but it seems like this is one of the world's best kept secrets, because I've found no one who is willing to help me find a source.

Can someone help? Email me direct if you please. (sorcerer@macconnect.com)

Thanks.

They're called tsuba dome ("guard stoppers"), and virtually any supplier of kendo equipment should be able to get you them.

How about http://www.bogubag.com/Swords/Bokutoh_tsuba/bokutoh_tsuba.html?
