Nothing like a few kinome leaves sprinkled on vinegared fish or unagi kabayaki. Any of you nihon ryori fans out there know where I can purchase a sanshoo (Zanthoxylum piperitum) plant/seedling/seeds?

Despite extensive Web and mail catalog searches, I've been unable to locate one. I've even tried soaking Szechuan peppercorns, hoping they might sprout. . .but alas, no luck. I'm hoping that our well-read (well-fed?;) ) members of E-Budo might be able to help.

Onegaishimasu! Doomoo arigatoo gozaimasu!

Here's a site that sells the seeds.Seed store (http://www.b-and-t-world-seeds.com/special4.htm). Go near the bottom of the page and they should be there. I don't know how to purchase them though, their shopping cart confuses me.

Hope this helps,

Thank you Phillip!

I managed to figure out how to use their order form. But US$26 for 10 grams makes me a bit hesitant to break out the credit card. At least I know where to find it if I get really desperate.

Anyone else?
