Hello,

This is a site called "Kimono Kouture", that specializes in woman's jackets inspired from the Japanese haori (overcoat).

http://www.kimonokouture.com

The pieces are custom made to order, and would make a nice gift for the patient wife/girlfriend of any Budo-bum!

Other custom Japanese/Japanese inspired clothing may be possible as well.

Just thought I'd drop a note here, because I don't know where else to put something like this.

These look pretty cool, and isn't the guy modeling just a hunk? ;)

Looks like someone who had ingested far too much alcohol last time I saw him in Las Vegas.

Hi Nathan Sensei,

Who is that model? He looks like a real martial artist, Just goes to show...you just can't take a bad picture of some people. And I have proof. Neat website, thanks for the link.
;)

Nice stuff -- but considering how cheaply genuine vintage women's haori are available on Ebay, I'd be more inclined to look there first....

Hi Debie,

Nice to hear from you.

Mr. Anderson, I think the idea is that these are custom one of a kind pieces, made from materials and color combinations that are not found in traditional Japanese clothing.

They are new, and inspired from Japanese clothing but are not accurate in all details, so those that are looking for that type of "flavor", or are simply not drawn to the antique haori, can have the best of both worlds.

Of course, it all comes down to personal taste. Thanks for your comments in any event.

Regards,
