Just read the (closed)thread about this and just wanted to say that one of my teachers went to the recent World Butoku Sai in Kyoto as part of a contingent from the school of which I am a member. My school (the UKJJAI) is headed by the UK Representative of the DNBK, Allan Tattersall Hanshi. The contingent who went saw some outstanding MA performed by true masters from many schools and were treated outstandingly by their hosts. They performed demonstrations in Jujutsu and Iaido and even received a couple of awards. No politics were involved. Which was ....undoubtably nice.
