I just received this message of Trevor Jones', forwarded from a UK connection
of mine.

My heart is heavy. May he RiP.

Iai practice will not be the same without Haruna-s. as his influence extended
to the AEUSKF.

All of us who trained with him need to remember what he taught us, and now
carry on his legacy.

Most sincerely,
Raymond Sosnowski

Hi Stephen and Ray,

I'm sorry. I've lost many teachers over the years and it's a sad thing.

Rick

The late Haruna-s was Hachidan/Hanshi in Iaido. He regularly traveled to both Canada and the UK.

He was also the chief instructor and director of the Musashi Dojo in Ohara city, Okayama prefecture, Japan, where he taught Hyoho Niten Ichi Ryu Kenjutsu, the two-sword style of Miyamoto Musashi.

I was fortunate to have received instruction in both Iaido and HNIR Kenjutsu from him.

Sadly,

Thank you for informing us of this great loss. Even though I never met him I can feel the influence that he had in the world of Iaido.

He trained my sensei (sensei Fay Goodman) and he will be missed not only by the people he met and trained, but also those who learned from him indirectly.

A great loss.

With all respect for a great man who will be dearly remembered,

Sam Oram

Truly the end of an era. He put years of effort in coming to the UK and supporting its members.

He will be sorely missed.

With all respects
