A few weeks ago I was in a 2nd hand bookshop and picked up a book called "Living the Martial Way" by Forrest Morgan who is a Jujutsu practitioner and Major in the USAF.

I've just finished it and it is an absolutely fantastic book. It is one of the best martial arts books I have ever come across. Highly recommended.

There is so much to learn from that book and the weird thing is that there are very few photos and absolutely no techniques shown. That is probably why it teaches so much.

The discussion on kata training has added a new dimension to my understanding of kihon happo and san shin.

Anyway, just thought I would share that with the group. And no, I am not getting any royalties or advertisers fees!

That IS a great book. I read it back about 4 years ago (my sensei at-the-time lent it to me) & I loved it. Just thumbed thru it at Barnes & Noble the other day & still liked it. Lots of great info, not just on M.A., but also on building character. I highly recommend it.
