Gassho,

Does anyone know if there's an outlet (brick and mortar/internet) to get the 3 latest technique books published by Hombu other than buying them straight for the HQ website? Also along those lines, what other printed material is available to non-japanese speaking kenshi?

Sadly, my japanese is severely lacking so I have a hard time making heads or tails of the japanese version of the the HQ webpage. =(

Thanks!

If you are refering to the Goho, Juho 1 and Juho 2, I was able to order them from a local Japanese store. I simply printed out the ISBN number which I got from the Swedish Federation site and showed it to the clerk. It took a month to fulfill the order and I think my total cost was about $120 with air shipping.

Thanks Raul,

I spoke to one of my seniors last night and he told me that he has an extra copy from japan. He also mentioned that they can be found on Amazon's japanese site. I didn't have much luck when I tried briefly but I'll ask him for details this weekend if anyone else is interested.

Gassho.

Oops! If I had done my research properly, I would have found the links of the Swedish Shorinjikempo Federation website (great site by the way!).

Here is a good link for ordering books from Japan - they have a handy ISBN lookup form on this page.

Amazon Japan has also converted most of their ordering process to English - just click on the Convert to English link on upper right hand side of the shopping cart section.

Good luck - shipping costs may put you in the hole.;)

I came across this English language website that sells the 3 infamous books.

Cool site, but you'll save $10/book by ordering them straight from Amazon Japan.
