Exploring the essence of the Martial Arts
by Alex Esteve, supervised by Sôke Masaaki Hatsumi

… Reading this book will help those who are beginning to drift and find themselves confused in their training, it will cleanse their minds so they can focus more clearly, and will carry them back to the true path…
Sôke Masaaki Hatsumi

Celebrate the invaluable historical legacy inherited by Sensei Masaaki Hatsumi, head (Sôke) of the nine schools forming the Bujinkan Dôjô from his late teacher Toshitsugu Takamatsu. These traditions are filled with the history, philosophy and martial arts of Japan itself. This includes the Ninja tradition of which much is said but little is actually known.

Alex Esteve

In the first volume of this monumental work, Sôke Masaaki Hatsumi speaks to us directly, clears up confusion and passes on his great wisdom. Furthermore, eighteen top Shihan from around the world share their understanding of the Buinkan Arts, making this book a reference for the martial art community.

Hi

Does anyone actually know how much Hatsumi has contributed to the book and who exactly are the shihan that are mentioned in the promo for the book.

I remember getting a little glossy flyer for this book at Tai Kai, but it didn't have any kind of web address or anything. Thanks Konsta.

Oh yeah, can customers from the US buy off the Solkan Europe site? It's not in their country list when you check out.

Anyone know of any other source to buy this book from, budomart is asking for $30uS for shipment to Canada + the cost of the book which comes out to about $130 Canadian funds, I'd really love to get this book but that price is too steep, any info would be appreciated.

I'll try to add "inside of book" in teaser pdf files (a lot). Then you can see if it would be worth it.

btw. do you have any family around in Europe??
It will even then be more expensive than buying straight from them. At my site you will find two places from where you can buy.
