I recently got my hands on the book "Taijutsu Tactics" written under the pen-name of Omoto Saiji (pub, 1987). It seems to have all the right 'marks' to make it Bujinkan, but I'm curious if anyone has an additional info on the author or the origin of the wrist and other escapes which are contained in the book.

It looks pretty good BTW, but I like to be sure of what I'm reading.

Hi,

If I remember correctly this Omoto Saiji was an alias for a shidoshi here in the states, like SKH or someone like that. Maybe someone else has better info on that.

I always had the suspicion that it was written by Bud Malmstrom.

The gentleman performing the waza seemed to be the general size/build of Mr Malmstrom...

OK, well, that's good enough for me. It's a pretty good book, or seems to be anyway.....

Hmmmmm.
A westerner writing ninjutsu books under an Asian pseudonym?
Sound familiar anyone?
Where have we seen that before?
Was it perhaps published by Paladin Press?

Doesn't seem to be one Auric Kinkenhoffer, if that's what you mean. He never writes Bujinkan all over his books (not that I've ever really read one seriously) or dedicate them to Hatsumi S. That's what made it all the more curious. Well, anyway, I'll just take as generic stuff...

My apologies, I was thinking of Lin Kuei books...(Li Hsing).
