Recently saw some photos of a Bisento. It looks exactly the same as a Kwan-Do used in some Kung Fu styles. Is that the case?
I have never seen this weapon used in Japanese MA before. Is it used in Kukishinden-Ryu or was it imported as part of the "Chinese-origin" schools like Gyokko-Ryu?
Cheers

Kwan do generally have a thinner haft and are less bulky than bisento, but the bisento does originate from China.
As far as I know, the bisento waza taught in the Bujinkan come from Kukishin Ryu.
