Does anybody knows how to apply a hamon style pattern on a blade? I know that original hamon is made through diferential tempering, but, can I get a good looking hamon for display, even resistant to the cutting process? For example, to have a cold steel katana improved with a gunome midare hamon? or the same thing for a steel (non cutting)iaito? Thanx! :D

You might be able to do this by etching the steel. I don't think it would stand up very well under actual use, however...

Robert, I understood perfectly your e-mail... by the way, your original language is spanish? if so... puedes escribirme sin ningún problema en español, pues yo vivo en Chile, SudAmérica. Y según entiendo... se habla español por acá...

Thanks again for your help... :D
