I was just wondering if anyone knew of a Shotokan Karate club in the Columbus Georgia/Phenix City Alabama area.

I have a friend who was studying Shotokan in Atlanta, but moved here for work, and has been unable to find a place to train.

Thanks. :)

Unfortunately I didn't find anything in this area.

The only karate in the area is Yoshukai, and I don't know how similar they are to Shotokan.

Thanks again!

Hello all,

I am a practitioner of Yoshukai Karate-do, specifically Shingo-ha Yoshukai Karate-do. I can attest to the fact that there is very little in the ways of similarities between Shotokan and my prefered system.

If I can be of any assistance whatsoever, please do not hesitate to let me know.

thanks,

Howard Upton

I live int the Griffin , GA. area and I do not know of any shotokan schools in that area I do know there is one in Newnan , ga . Which is about an hour away . You might want to call around to the rec. centers. in that area. I currently teach Shito ryu class's at a shotokan dojo on different nights of course in the Griffin , Ga.

I will ask around and let you know if I come up with anything .
