Bruce Lee died before he could see the pinacle of his movie career in celuloid in which Jim Kelly co-starred (Enter the Dragon). Jim Kelley's 'Black belt Jones' was a fusion of the new wave of 'chop -sockey' and 'blackpoitation' that hit in the 70's. It's a shame that Jim Kelley didn't do a whole lot after this film. We don't think of Steven seagal, Jean Claude and Chuck Norris as great thespians either and neither was Jim Kelley, but one thing he could do well was kick ass. It's too bad. Had he lived in different more tolerant times he could have had a stellar career. Looks like Bruce Lee wasn't the only victim of racial sterotyping for his time.

What about that great sequel (I think) "Hot Potatoe". Every cliche you can imagine in a martial arts movie within the blacksploitation genre. Sadly, I actually own a copy.

Man, I can't spell. That, of course, should read "Hot Potato".

Just call me vice-president.
