I read this post the day it came out, along with the link, and it seemed to be important, but I didn't quite know why?

Maybe, because one of my mentors was a german born science teacher, who taught me to sail, with all its intricacys, and he had some quirks, much like the fastideious Dr. Tom Walker, I can identify with this post.

He seems to be a very interesting man, who touched quite a few people. Although it might have been better to do a biography before his passing, it might be just as important to do one if it has not already been done. The measure of a man is not by his achievements, but those he has touched in his life.

Sometimes, a few words, and pictures is all that is left of a person, and from what I have read so far, Dr. Tom Walker deserves to have a biography with a few words and pictures.

That was one of the reasons I suggested a book, I had read that article.
