Lurking another board, I noticed the folks discussing martial art e-zines. They couldn't think of many. So, let's start a list.

1. With ISSN. In other words, legally structured online magazines. Note that I'm intentionally omitting Aikido Journal, Black Belt, and Furyu, all of which are -- or were -- print magazines that have since achieved significant online presence. Likewise, I am also omitting sites such as http://www.aafla.org , with their online versions of print journals.

* Dragon's List: http://www.dragonslist.com/issues/?issueid=12 (Chinese MA, and the first, as it got its ISSN in 1998)
* EJMAS: http://ejmas.com (1999)
* Koryu Budo: http://www.koryubudo.com/maginfo.htm (2001)

2. Without ISSN

* Fighting Arts: http://fightingarts.com
* The Martialist: http://www.themartialist.com/
* Real Fighting: http://realfighting.com
* Riposte: http://riposte.org

Who am I missing?

http://www.martialinfo.com ?

I just started receiving it, but I'm hoping it will unsubscribe itself in record time.

There's also 'Martial Arts Mastery' from kerwinbenson.com.

While not specifically MA related, there is Scott Sonnon's Full Circle (http://www.circularstrengthmag.com/).

You're trying, Phil, and for that, more power to you. The question is whether you can maintain the pace.

That leads to another point. If you want to see something different at one of these sites, write for them. Contributions to the Tip Jar are always appreciated, too! :)

Finally, while there are lots of folks on the various boards who claim to have all these great old manuals in their collections, how many take the time to put them online? Not very many. So, get off your butts and put 'em up where the rest of us can see them.

MartialTalk just announced their own e-zine.
http://martialtalk.com/magazine

Full info is in the admin announcements forum there.

Personally, I like both the Martialist and Dragons List. Most of the others dont 'talk' to me, if ya know what I mean.

Peace.

Not sure if it qualifies, but there's the "member's intranet" at www.royharris.com.

Free registration, and some good stuff inside.

Cheers,

Mike
