Is it bad for the blade to be cutting yellow bamboo? Does it have to be green? Also, is it scientifically true that bamboo has the same density as a human bone?

bamboo 0.6 to 0.9 g/cm^3
human bone 1.0 to 2.0 g/cm^3
The numbers above are for density. You should also note that the densities of both human bone and bamboo vary as much as one standard deviation. Jeremy I believe that you would be more interested in the hardness of human bone compared to bamboo. (Run a web sreach.)
By yellow bamboo I believe that you mean dried bamboo not bamboo that is fresh and yellowish in color. If should not be a problem cutting through it, but if you are inexperienced fresh bamboo is nicer to cut, imho.
Hope that helps.
