No problem with the first “left-right conflict” but I can not force my mind to not see the optical illusion of “horizontal lines.’

Did you use too many NOTS there Ana, the lines are really horizontal... they just look sloped.

I know but still cannot beat the optical illusion. *Nite*

Wow, that first one threw me! I was, like, "Green. Blue. Oh, wait..."

I got through to the final line thinking, 'hey, I've got the hang of this now' and then..."Green" no, dammit Blue!:o

Horizontal lines are easier when you squint at the screen:p

Yes, never ever do that test while crossing rope bridges over chasms...

Cheers,

I've seen this before. Females should be able to do this quicker than males because females use the left part of the brain more than males. The left side deals with stuff like emotions and art etc. But the right side of the brain (that's the guy part) is good at logical thinking and mechanical machines etc.

So guys, now you know why women are illogical and emotional!

Just when science says that women are far more superior due to the chromosone StanLee places equality back in the 1960's

Ohh I do miss the old days when men went out hunting and gathering and women stayed chained to the kitchen sink.

Er hang on I'm not that old.

Stan:D

By the way Will, at school we are all taught to use our right side of the brain, i.e. you have a spelling test to do and you are taught to memorise the words and not to figure out the word by its sound (well initially anyway).

So was I Stan, but I ignored my teacher anyway.

Does it not make you wish to have a bicemeral brain?

Try it with one eye (the left one) closed.

David, I'm seeing spots before my eyes.
The colour/word one was easy, and I know the lines in Number 2 are parallel, even though they look slanted. The other puzzles have driven me dotty, though...

The first one was easy.

Second one was easy.

Third one was easy.

Actually, it's the opposite - the right side is the artistic/intuitive one. You must be thinking about the right hand, wich is controlled by the left side of the brain.

This is why many famous artists were left-handed - left-handed people are naturally better with their right hemisphere.

By the way, the bipolar nature of the brain seems to be related to Zen. There's a lot of similarities between the "artist's eye" and meditative "suchness".
