Does a tongue-twister teach the correct spelling?

Can someone translate what "verbal kata's are neccesary, effortless speach is PERFECTION" means?

I going to assume that it is another cod-poetic attempt to stimulate some interesting responses. Perhaps it is a famous quotation that I don't recognise (not many Western philosophers that use the word Kata).

I took it to mean;
"Practice talking, smooth talking is cool"

verbal kata's=the normal manners in which one uses vocabulary
to learn and communicate...to use these skills in an effortless
fashion and getting your point accross is perfection...

Thank you both for noticing the flaws, although intentional
I placed the words together in a fashion of a mock statement
to show even if you know the moves(words)to a kata it doesn't mean
you are guaranteed anything at all ... there may be issues
of kime(misspelled words)ect, ect, the comparisons are endless
and that is why I should practice more so that the untrained
can develope an affiliation with understanding...

besides it was only an experiment much in the same way
a kata is not a kata until first the seperate moves are developed
into one and once the moves are established then the fine tuning of
the stances and techniques can be combined together with the
appropriate moves to achieve the desired effect... moves

 What an odd thread.

Also:
katas (an apostrophe is not neccesary to denote plurality)
speech
manner
the fashion
develop
separate

Just to hammer this point home: using an apostrophe to denote plurality is wrong.

Yes, this thread has definitely caught the Bruce. It seems to be spreading.

Cheers,

Mike

It's not a hard concept to grasp either.

" X's " = " X is "
" X's " = the thing that X has possession of.

"your X" = the X that you have possession of.
"you're X" = "you are X"

I think some things haven't been taught at school. I think it's important to understand such things, like the use of an apostrophe, contractions, syntax, and word types.

I, to be honest, cannot understand people who write such things as "you're art is stupid". You are art is stupid?

It appears that I'm not the only one that has a peeve about the misplaced apostrophe :D Some grammatical and syntax errors are attributable to sheer laziness - for example, 'To write someone' as opposed to 'To write to someone' - but I will for the life of me never understand the thinking behind adding extra things.

I guess there is no thinking.

I would like to point out that there are no plural forms in Japanese. The plural of kata is kata, not katas. Sorry, a pet peeve of mine.

Talk less, train more!

Quite right...dunno why I didn't catch that. Got to remember not to try and post before my morning coffee :)

No Ninjas, ninja. Isn't this the rule with a few languages? Like french?

I've been at the grocer quite a bit the last few weeks as all the new locally grown produce has been coming in. While the better stores carry a large variety of peaches, I haven't seen any "s" peaches

I do agree that getting a really good peach without any effort (like, when my wife gets one and brings me one too) is a perfect way to spend a summer evening, I have to think that the golden peaches are quite good enough without me hunting down these mysterious "s" peaches.

Or perhaps someone has a speech impediment?

I must be the luckiest guy on the ding dern planet as to have
this level of attention and instruction at the same time and in
the same place...

First off I would like to thank you all for your help
and with every time I need it I can allways look back here
if ever I'm in doubt of my composition skills,ie; verbal kata...

but even though I am aware of the beam in my Eye I cant help
but point out the splinter in tripitaka of AA's and at the same
time I would also love to point a healthy bravo to tripietaco
for his brilliant analysis of the original post's
meaning...:smash: :toast:

If there were another cooler than I, he would've been a clone
of myself... So, until the day Human cloning becomes a
standardized practice I shall remain the coolest...Indefinately

Besides, one does not simply try to be cool, either they are or
they are not. It's all a matter of projection and perception.
Might I add it's not my place to judge what you do or do not
percieve as being Cool because you may be the type who thinks
that Barry Manillowe (sic?) is cool ,and myself being a rather
cool individual do not. so, I can see where there could be a
conflict of definitions...

If you don't know you don't know, and if you don't want to you
never will, but sometimes you never will find what it is you
are actually looking for until you have lost it all together

Don't you just love how the simple kata is a reflection
of kumite if you happen to look at it from a proper perspective...
:D
