View Full Version : E-budo T-shirts coming soon!

John Lindsey
30th July 2003, 08:26
I have partnered up with a fellow e-budo member who happens to be in the business of silk-screening T-shirts. Normally, I would get a certain percentage of each sale, just like other websites that sell shirts. In this case, I will not be receiving any money. I instructed the printer to subtract my commission from his price. In this little way, I get to thank our many members and moderators who really make the forums work!

The shirts should be available in September. I expect a few picture contests too. Maybe an e-budo wet t-shirt contest?

John,
Where do I sign up?

As my little felons say, "Got to represent!".

John,

Sign me up, I'll take a couple.

(I suggest you make them from XS all the way up to XXX. After all we should satisfy all those from the 5th percentile female to the 95th percentile male in the E-Budo membership)

Regards,
TommyK

Any possibility of making them in black with white text as well?

Just curious :)

Hi John,

I am a screen printer myself and I would have like to have had an opportunity to bid on printing your shirts for you. I am sure I could have produced them for cost as well. I live in Nacogdoches (2 hours north of Houston) so maybe we can hook up if you ever need anything else done.
Please check out my web site for examples of some of my work.

Thanks,

Hello to all E-Budo Members,
E-Budo.com shirts will soon be available to order. I would like to thank John Lindsey at this time for making this all possible. John will get the first set for review. These shirts will only be sold on E-Budo.com and are intended for MEMBERS only. The shirts are being prepared as I write this. In late August the web site to order these shirts will be up and running. There will be T-shirts, long sleeve Sweatshirts and Mousepads available to order. Bright white and sports gray in color will first be offered in sizes adult small - 3XL. Once we are up and running, embroidered polo's and possible jackets will be offered, as well. Black T-shirts will be on the horizon. Payment can be made via the web site (Paypal) or by directly returning the order form for processing. Please, hold all orders until the site becomes available to all.

Thank you,
Ken Wyatt

Hi Jimmy,

Ken has exclusive rights for the shirts right now. He has put a lot of time and effort into getting it done and thus deserves it...

Can't see a PayPal link - what's the shipping gonna be like to the UK?

Rogier
2nd September 2003, 07:38
yesssss.... I want the t-shirt... for the sweatshirt I'll have to ask my girlfriend... (it surpasses my allowance :D )

With which service are you gonna send the things international?? I hope through USPS as that is the cheapest (and still quite reliable) option.

let us know.... I wanna order!!

2 more questions...

1. are US standards for Medium, Large and XL the same as European standards (they must be...)
2. how thick is the sweatshirt... is it like really thin or is it wearable in like 0 degrees celcius??

angrytiger
2nd September 2003, 14:08
Hello,

Shipping within the 48 states will be shipped via U.S.P.S., Priority mail (small orders). More than five or six pieces might be shipped via UPS (to save the members money on shipping). I believe the cheapest way to ship international is via the U.S.P.S., however, every country has different rates. Depending on the country shipped to, shipping cost will vary.

All products printed on, have been printed on with great success for years. Top line products are only used. As for the sweatshirts, a heavyweight (9.3-oz ) 50% cotton / 50% polyester was selected. The lighter 8.0-oz. sweatshirt was not used. Sizes are US standards.

As soon as the link is set-up, orders can be processed.

Thank you

Rogier
2nd September 2003, 17:02
okay this is gonna sound stupid...

is an American XL the same as a European XL???

I don't want to be hidden from view within my XL sweatshirt..

angrytiger
2nd September 2003, 19:08
Hello,

I've contacted the distributor on this question.

These are US standard sizes:
Men's chest size-

34-36 = S
38-40 = M
42-40 = L
46-48 = XL
50-52 = 2XL
54-56 = 3XL

These are European sizes:
Men's chest size-

34-36 = S
37-39 = M
40-42 = L
43-45 = XL
46-48 = 2XL
49-51 = 3XL

People seem to be using oversize sweats, here in the US. It's not unusual for a 17 year old (chest size 34-36) to ware size 2XL. I hope this helps.

Also: follow-up answers:

The Paypal address linked is websitetees@usa.com . If you order within the 48 states, calculate the number of items, include S&H and submit it to the Paypal address. Your order will be processed promptly.

For International orders, your going to have to email me your shipping address so I can get you a rate from the U.S.P.S. on shipping (please include quantity).

Ken or John,

Is it possible to sell them directly thru e-budo, with a direct purchase link to paypal?
It would make things easier.

Good move on the T-shirts John. I'll pick one up.

I think Ana should get a free thong as long as she sends in apic of her wearing it

I don't mean what I'm going to say to be as rude as it will sound (if Ana is for real), but has it occured to anyone else that Ana might in fact be a 13 years old boy yanking everyone's chains, and laughing his ass off everytime ya'l buy into the whole attention thing?!?

I mean, this is the internet.

Hello R. Kite,

For the time being, order them from my web site. You can just select the quantity add the S&H and pay with Paypal. I am a Paypal verified merchant. If you email me direct, I can answer all questions you might have. John and I are in different states. So to save the members money, I'm shipping directly from New York. Shirts are ready to be shipped.

Thank you,
Ken Wyatt

These shirts should last at least till 2014 when the asteroid hits earth and wipes our life as we know it :).

Ok, time for some serious stuff. I think we need to sponsor an E-budo wet T-shirt photo contest. I will throw in $50 towards the prize fund. The winner will be voted on by our members. Might have to do it in our private men's forum, but what the heck, it will be worth it. The model doesn't even have to be a lady. It could be a guy, his dog, his grandma, etc.

Only rule is that you have to have a moist e-budo t-shirt on...

Budoka 34,

The web site has just been updated. Domestic ordering for E-Budo.com items can be done with "Buy Now" via Paypal. Please view the "PRICE AND ORDER FORM" page. International purchases still have to email us so that the correct S&H can be calculated.

Thank you,

The shirts arrived today...wow, that was fast...big thanks to Angrytiger.

The logo looks great. I would call the t-shirts themselves medium weight and quality...reasonable for the price however. Both shirts were 'large' but they are on the low side of that range, and the grey shirt was a little snugger than the white one, which was a good fit. I hope they don't shrink in the wash. I'll be ordering a couple of the white-on-black shirts in XL when they are available.

I appreciate the 'estimate' of the shirts' value on the Customs sticker...it evidently prevented any holdup [and extra fees]. It sure took the sting out of the shipping costs, which were substantial [this isn't criticism, BTW...but if anybody is wondering why online shopping isn't taking off, I suspect sticker shock over shipping costs plays a big part of the situation...].

The following are the Men's CM sizes. Just in case your country uses CM sizes.

These are US standard sizes:
Men's chest size-

34-36 = S
38-40 = M
42-40 = L
46-48 = XL
50-52 = 2XL
54-56 = 3XL

These are Men's chest conversions from US standard sizes to CM sizes.

S = 86-91 CM
M = 97-102 CM
L = 107-122 CM
XL = 117-122 CM
2XL = 127-132 CM
3XL = 137-142 CM

Visit: http://home.earthlink.net/~screenman to order E-Budo.com T-shirts and more.
Online orders can be placed using Paypal, on the "Price And Order Form" page.

Chuck I found the designs (I hope you mean the attire not the blurred out logo) at http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/ .

Word to the wise web surfing on a Pocket PC is not the smartest of moves - the pitiful post above took several minutes. (The “lab rat“ owner of the PDA wanted to impress me by ad hoc-ing from one internet connection to another, which was so detrimental to actually posting / battery life / my patience...)

Heh! Ana, those are my design, wondered where they'd wandered off to.

I've closed the Budo Bum shop on CafePress, but have incorporated some of those designs into a section by the same name at:

http://www.cafeshops.com/thedojoshop

along with some other stuff. Not making any money off it, mainly developed the designs for my students, but several other folks have bought them, too.

If there's not a BudoBum design you like, let me know and I'll work on it. I'm working on a 'Budo Bum' (Rokudenashi no Budo?) logo with Peter (of Mugendo Budogu, www.budogu.com) Boylan, who's been tabbed with that moniker for a good many years. Stay tuned.

OK, my tees don't have nearly the cache and utter cool of the E-budo shirts, but I'm no John Lindsey, either!

Feel free to buy and wear them anywhere, even the Aiki Expo!

All prices are $1 over base price, and profits go to support our clubs.

John, I'll trade ya, a Budo Bum, The Dojo or Shobukan tee for an E-budo one ...

Hi all...
Just a note to say that the shirts have arrived...(Over the weekend....Quite a feat considering the British mail service!..), and are very, very good quality..I'd suggest that all UK Ebudoka get em....Although we would probably look like a large, mumbling group of bad-assed (And lost) tourists meeting up in Leicester Square with them on.....But at least it would make things easy!!....
Ken...A quality service sir...And much appreciated....Just wait until they come in black....;) ....For us "Frutrated Ninja" (TM) types eh Matt?.....Heh...
I wear mine with pride...(Although....Having recently re-read Angry White Pyjamas I STILL want a shirt that has "Glad to be Gai" written on it...)....I'm seriously thinking of getting "Fifthchamber" written across the back...But it was pointed out to me yesterday in training that that would make me a MAJOR target...And what with the big red sun on the front...I chickened out...
Get one.
Regards.
(And thanks again John and Ken!)

I've been informed by Members that the Official E-Budo Shirts are taking less than five days to arrive in the U.K. So far, so good. Just keep in mind that the mail system slows down as the holidays approach. So if you want to participate in the $100.00 grand prize contest, get your orders in before the holidays. Shipping within the USA is about two days via Priority Mail, at this point. Visit http://home.earthlink.net/~screenman/ to order Official E-Budo products.
