I've gone to several avatar sites, but every one I try is too big. I don't have access to be able to download, shrink, and then upload. Does anyone know where I could find some good avatars that are the right size? (preferebly having something to do with MA.)

Post a picture you want to use, and I will make an avatar for you.

I found a picture, but they have the computers set up where I work so that you can't right click on a picture to find out the URL. I found the pic on google image search "bujinkan". The URL is listed, but when I try to submit it as an attachment, it says that it's an invalid .gif or .jpg. If you don't mind getting it for me here's the page the pic comes from http://www.bujinkan.hr/en/bujinkan/history.htm

right click and save. Then, go into your user CP to upload it.

You have to go to your User CP to do this. The button is the first one at the top of each page, next to the register button. CP stands for control panel. Click it and then go to the "Edit Options" section. Scroll down to the bottom of that page and find the Avatar settings. You enter the location of the avatar on your pc and the software will automatically upload it.

You can uses these for now but note that I will not maintain their availability indefinitely. Uploading directly to E-Budo is the way to go...

There are web sites specifically for this. Some, for a fee, will let you download all the avatars you want. These are generally of better quality than free ones, but that is an option, too. You don't have to edit them which is a big plus.

I've been getting mine from http://www.badassbuddy.com and they have a pretty large selection of free ones. The price for this, is that every now and then, your avatar will show an advertisement for the web site for a few seconds. It isn't really much of a bother as all from that site will show the ad at the same time. Several people here use the site including myself.

Uploading is easy, either click on your choice to save or on properties and copy it. Paste it into the space provided in your user options, as John explained, and you're set. I like those Ana has up more, but badassbuddy avatars and .GIFs are meant to be funny, ironic, a metaphor, or, in some cases, serious, etc. They are also ready-to-go as they meet the size requirements.

Hope this helps some. If you still have problems, send it to John by PM.

Lookin' good! Unfortunately the only time I can get online is at work, and they have restrictions on internet useage. (As soon as I can I'll get over to my buddy's place and mess with it from there.)
