Heard on the radio yesterday.......

A badger "chased" a child and his friends (10year old) home from school.
The children shut themselves in the house (father at home also) and then the badger could be seen outside the patio door looking into the house...... if anyone tried to leave then it would make a move to attack them.....
When the mother and daughter arrived home they were also "chased" into the house........
This "terrorism" lasted for a few hours

I cannot find any mention of it on the web....... but it was on a local radio station here in the UK.

It is not so rare though, I did find this article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hereford/worcs/3023369.stm).......

Harassment is defined as persistent badgering, after all, sensei... :p

I read this the other day.

The dad tried to scare the animal away by banging a spade on the ground, but the badger just stood its ground and hissed at him. Very budo!

The RSPCA were called and lured the badger away with a jam sandwich!

Why did the badger stake out its territory and defend it in such an offensive manner?

That is the key question here, not that an attack took place.

A few years back, we had a number of animals attacking humans ... it was attributed to rabies, but not all of the tested animals tested positve, so why did such violent behavior happen?

Oh well ... run away, run away ...

Yeah, it's one of the more annoying random association things I've seen.
Though this version is interesting.
