Thanks,

You beat me to it. I've been meaning to ask this for a while.

The ones I check out regularly are

http://www.koryu.com - Excellent articles - Doesn't change often but everything there is priceless.

http://www.koryubudo.com - Don't be put off if you don't do Karate there are some superb articles

http://www.furyu.com - Great articles, great sense of humor and if you're not in a hurry for each issue you can subscribe to the best Martial Arts magazine I've ever read.

There are a number of forums I'm a member of but I have to say the e-budo is far and away the best particularly in the quality of the posts and the people. Drop me an message and I'll share the others.

http://riposte.org/ - Some great articles some less so, always worth a look.

Finally Joseph Swinth runs a superb web site with some wonderful articles. Unfortunatley I don't have the URL here but if you check out his profile I think it's there.

Hope this helps - In fact I hope this is the sort of Web sites you were looking for !!!

Robert --

Thank you for the kind words.

James --

Normally I have a links page to which I would refer you, namely http://ejmas.com/kronos/indexhtml#1OnlineResources . Unfortunately we are currently having server problems (three days, and they still can't figure it out  ) and as a result Kronos is unavailable except by using the Google cache. (Thank goodness for the Google cache.)

But not to worry. The rest of EJMAS is available and the missing information is not lost. After all, I have it on disk, I have it on my hard drive at home, etc. We just have that pesky server problem. Grr.

Meanwhile, Michi Online provides some really good links and Dragon Times posts many good online articles.

After that, you start getting into questions of precisely what you are looking for. For example, the Budokwai and the Kano Society have many good articles if you are interested in judo, few if you're not. Likewise, the National Archives and Record Administration site is great if you like research, not so great if you want easy answers to your questions.

Good search engines are the real trick to finding things on the Internet, and right now, I tend to use Google.

OK, here goes (in no particular order)……

Budokai – nice Ju-Jitsu site with an interesting online manual on history, tradition etc. http://www.concentric.net/~Budokai/

World of Judo and Jujutsu – not bad, with links and articles on Judo & Jujutsu. http://judo1.net/

Judo Information Site – THE site for Judo techniques. Loads of jpeg’s and gif’s and articles. Excellent IMHO! http://judoinfo.com/

The British Kendo Association – because I’m British and it keeps me up to date with Iaido/Jodo news. http://www.users.dircon.co.uk/~bka/index2.htm

Kampai Budokai – excellent site on Iaido (MSR/MJR) and Jodo with lots and lots of good info. Also has info on Tanjojutsu, Tachi-no-kurai, Tamiya Ryu (excuse spellings). http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Pagoda/8187/

Mugendo Budogu – I’m sure most of you know this retailer. Very good I think, and a nice guy. http://www.mugendobudogu.com/

Nine Circles – a British retailer that gets equipment direct from Japan. Another nice guy. http://www.ninecircles.demon.co.uk/

EJMAS – excellent resource for martial arts articles and re-prints of old texts. http://www.ejmas.com/

Furyu the Budo Journal – as per earlier reply to thread. http://www.furyu.com/

Historical Armed Combat Association – good resource with loads on info and links to downloads and a forum. It’s all about the western martial arts (mainly sword based). Some nice scans of 15th – 18th century texts. http://www.thehaca.com/

e-budo.com – if you’re reading this you know :D

Stickgrappler's Mixed Martial Arts page – loads and loads of links. Very big and text orientated so takes a while to get through. http://stickgrappler.tripod.com/

Mahoutsukai Dojo – nice site with a lot of info. I like this even though I don’t practice the art. http://www.mahoutsukai.btinternet.co.uk/

Koryu.com - as per earlier reply to thread. http://www.koryu.com/

ABE Books – good resource for second hand books. Lots of martial arts ones if you want to search. http://dogbert.abebooks.com/

Okay, now that the search parameters are narrowed a bit, and ignoring sites that have been previously listed or are recommended in their E-budo sections (e.g., Guy Power's site, all the aikido/aikijujutsu sites, etc.):
