Hi all,

Anyone know where I can pick up a copy of "Heiho Kadensho" in Japanese? (translated as "The Sword and the Mind" in English).

Thanks!

Does Amazon.com have a branch in Japan?

How about a Polish version?

Tried typing hyoho, heiho, kadensho, and yagyu (in English) at the site. Didn't work.

Can't type in Japanese :(

Can you send me a link for the book?

Thanks!

All,
A new translation of Heihokadensho has been published by Kodansha, done by William Scott Wilson.
I'm about halfway through an advance copy and I think it is overall a very good translation.

The book is now available in Japan; it will be so here, I am informed by the translator, in February of next year.

Cordially,

Excellent. I rather liked Wilson's translation of the Budoshoshinshu.

Thank you for the good news, Mr Lowry. :)

FWIW:

I dealt with buyubooks.com to purchase a copy of Sensei Nakamuras' book and was very happy with the speed of the transaction.

BTW: For searches conducted on non-English terms--- especially those specialized MA terms is there a particular trick to making sure that one is accessing the most appropriate data system? By this I mean that I wonder if there is a special trick to using search engines to make sure that a search for, say, a Japanese or Korean or Chinese term is being reviewed in a venue pertinent to that term.

Best Wishes,

Bruce

I'm reading the Cleary version now. Looking forward to the new Wilson version.
