I resolved to improve my kihon via repitition (make that proper repitition). To heck with the staring neighbors.

My neighbors ask me if I am doing some kind of kung fu. I hope it is just them being ignorant rather then me just being really bad.

Do kihon sotai and kihon tandoku regularly, improve all seitei, and brush the dust of omote.

ching.. ching... he moved b4 I cut :D
or perhaps with a tricky uchidachi.. that sneaks in a little more than usual, before cutting his new castration target full-force. then they would have to be literally steel. ;)
only.. joking of course. please don't do it!

I don't even want to know where the balls of steel came from....or do I?

closing sequence in Ranai, following dobari when uchidachi has final cut, to not move feet at all until after reverse makiotoshi re-direction.. then go back to hasso for final strike. (this is for SMR not seitei)
same in last kenjutsu daito kata. it does require some extra carbon content :)

Correction, that is for seitei as well.
Howzabout Kodachi Otoshi in Samidare, when allowing someone who uses a lot of power but not much accuracy to strike the small piece of wood in your hand just a few inches from your fingers.
Ooh!

thanks for correction... and for shidachi/shijo in any kata involving a real Niten Ichi Ryu kenjutsuka.
IMO best to just put down the Jo and run fast :D but for keiko work up a false sense of reality ;)
