On December 6th and 7th, 2003 Lone Star Sumo had end-of-year workshop and competition. We had ten people attending and competing. The first part of the event was a Sumo Basics Workshop. Trent Sabo came in from California to teach the worksop. Trent taught a great class on Sumo essentials, especially tachiai. A BIG thanks to Trent! In the evening we held a round robin competition. (See results below). It was an exciting competition which include a three way tie between Joe Spradlin, Bart Harris and John Hidalgo. We had a great time learning from Trent and getting to put our new found knowlege to work in the ring. Afterwards, we went out Hooters. It was a great event in terms of turn out, training and competition
