Hello,

I don't know of any orthodox Daito-ryu online movie clips. Even if you did find some, it would represent the techniques of that specific line, as opposed to any authoratative "this is Daito-ryu". There are books and a few videos available though - mainly through Aikido Journal.

Depending on what area you live in, there MAY even be a dojo where you can go sweat yourself.

You'll be lucky to find any clip of aikijujutsu in general, let alone Daito Ryu. All you'll find online is some karate guy you thinks he knows aikijutsu because he red a book or two. If you want to see Daito Ryu finding a dojo is your best source. If you look on the legit Daito Ryu pages, you may be able to find a dojo directory.

Hope someone is more helpful, but fwiw, I think this old gent participated in the 50th Anniversary of Sokaku Takeda Demo, the DVD of which is available at AJ. The DVD names him.

For those of you just tuning into this one, "Yanagi Ryuken" appears to be the name of some self-claimed kiai master in Japan. No, it's not Daito-ryu, but yes, it is very silly stuff.

Did anything come of it? Did "Yanagiryuken" admit that the ki techniques don't actually work? Did he claim that there was an evil force blocking his unstoppable ki power during the fight? Did he ignore the matter entirely?

I can't help but wonder how someone who truly believed, no self-deception of any kind involved, that they had such powers would react to losing such a fight, versus what someone who had consciously deceived people would do.

I don't know what I would do if I was in Yanagiryuken's position after that match. I feel bad for the guy because in the first video it actually seemed like he believed he could do that crazy stuff.
