Years ago, you'd find it difficult to get a haircut in Japan on a Tuesday. Apparently, while other shops might close on a Wednesday, it was always Tuesday for Hairdressers. This was linked in some way to the bad luck associated with cutting hair on a "Fire" day...
Or so my Japanese wife vaguely recalls... she has asked again that I might employ the "experts" in these matters :), so E-Budo, Why is it bad luck to have a haircut on a Tuesday?
