Looking to get involved in a type of school near central Ohio. Glancing through the phone book I couldn't manage to find anything, and honestly, I'm not familiar with most of the terms. I believe Kenjutsu is the more of a traditional sword art, where Kendo has become more of a sport? Either way, I'm in my early 20's, and I really never got a chance to practice any type of Martial Arts in the past. Now that I can, I'd like to. If anyone knows of anything, it'd be a great help.

Thanks, much appreciated, and I apologize for not searching a bit harder.

United States Classical Kendo Federation

This is one site I recall from my google searches. It appears to be down. Technical difficulties? Are they still around?

The United States Classical Kendo Federation is the organization that is headed by OSU's Kendo Club Sensei. From what I understand they're a great group if you're interested in Kendo.

I am a member of the Suio group, if you are interested in more info about our group it can be found at:

Best of luck in your search!

Thanks again. I've looked at the group you mentioned, and I did send an email to the local contact requesting a little more information. Both do look interesting, and I'll make sure to check them out.
