Fellow Budoka---
2 Weeks ago, a good friend of mine and former training partner at the old Gadsden Bujinkan Dojo in Gadsden, Alabama passed away.
Roger "Red" Baker, husband, father, friend, and Bujinkan 9th kyu, died due to complications with his heart and diabetes.
Granted I know none of you probably knew him, but he was a good man. He was dilligent in class, and trained hard when he could.
Sadly, the last few months were harder for him because while in the hospital he set up an infection in his foot, causing the doctors to have to amputate his leg. When sent to a nursing facility nearby he had a heart attack and passed away.
If you could extend your prayers and condolences, his daughter visits this site sometimes, however she says she never posts. She just keeps up with how things are in our world.
Thank you everyone and God Bless.
