Whew! Glad the board is back up working! I wasn't able to get in for two days and was going through withdrawals!

Kids' Kata Tournament yesterday. We had almost 80 kids register for the competition. Seven divisions, three trophies each, all received a participation medal.

Instructions to participants was half an hour.
Half hour warm up led by Seikichi Iha, Hanshi, 10th Dan
Two and a half hours for the competition and less than 30 minutes for the presentations.

Followed by pizza, pasta and sodas.

Extremely well run all the way around. I was aware of only one glitch where a third place trophy was awarded to the wrong person, but it was quickly resolved without issue with another trophy.

I had 5 participants and two other attendees. Considering the dojo is less than three months old, I was pretty pleased! None of my students made it into the semi's, but it took three elimination rounds to knock two of them out.

Next tournament is in July!
