hey everyone

just got a question on focusiong on your tan tien and trying to build your KI using appropriate breathing excersies but im having a bit of trouble focusing on my tan tien.when i focus on it my abdominals tense up as if i was expecting someone to punch me there.is this suppose to happen?if not does anyone have any ideas that help them focus more?

Try this: Put your left hand on your chest, and then put your right hand on your lower abs, with your little finger on your center point. Take the deepest breaths you find comfortable, moving the right hand and leaving the left hand still. After you're used to relaxing your abs on the "in" breath, focus on where your little finger touches your stomach. Then move the left hand away, then the right.
