Is there a "correct" way to properly fold a Gi?? Thanks

Depends if you want to honor 1,000 years of tradition and symbolism, or simply have you gi less wrinkled. :p

I tend to opt for the latter and fold it fairly flat and unwrinkled. I've also done the rolled technique (probably a judo technique symbolized there) which works faily well.

If you get one of those super heavy-weight jobs, it will stand in the corner on it's own.

If you fold it right, it will be the same folded size as the Hakama or any other Japanese clothing. Then all of the clothes will stack in nice bundle to be tied up in a Furoshiki (Japanese wrapping cloth)

Hi, All.

If you're wearing a judogi for your Aiki work, look in Kodokan Judo (Illustrated or the new Kano edition). There are step-by-step instructions, and it doubles as an easily carried shield.
