Everyone seems to be interested in how different swords compare. Some people are only interested in cutting ability while other look for quality and balance. Every sword is different and everyone has their own opinion about what they like. I decided to put a few to the test. The ratings are compiled from a panel of judges from the St Pete Toyama Ryu Dojo. Measurements were also made on each sword to keep an empirical record of its physical characteristics. These include weight and sizes of key sword parameters. The results are posted at http://208.63.68.209/sword_dimensions.htm. We are in the process of adding Iaito and Wakizashi to our testing. I hope this data will be usefull to everyone. While you might not agree with our opinions, the measurements will allow you to compare the physical aspects of different swords you might be interested in.

Looks like it included a "." in the link. It is http://208.63.68.209/sword_dimensions.htm and under the www.toyama-ryu.com website.

Very nice job, Animo. It appeals to the engineer in me.

The data may not be useful to everyone, but will definitely save some of us considerable time. Please keep updating your Web-page as testing continues.
