View Full Version : What's the right response?

A couple of years ago, I attended a class where the interaction between the 40+ married instructor and one of the young female (16-17) students was almost...inappropriate (him massaging her feet, backrubs, etc.) I can't say that they something going, but it made me seriously uncomfortable. Adding to that, he let her do more or less whatever she darn well pleased - including not showing any control in her technique. I got to the point where I wanted to go 'old school bujinkan' on her but he blithely ignored her activities and basically told me to put up with it or leave. I got pissed off about it after a few months and left.

What might have been a better response?

Do we have a right as students to make mention of someone's lack of control?

What can we do as students if an instructor is shielding another student?

You as a customer have the right to take your business where ever you want. As a student if you have a problem with your sensei I suggest you find another sensei.

I agree with CEB.

It is TOTALLY out of line for an instructor to behave (i.e. touching) in that manner with a student.

I would be gone the next day...
