Say, what with the new year I'm wondering what herbs actually are in the otoso sake ... are the the same as the 'seven spiring herbs'? Different? Is toso prepared at home anymore?

While we're on the subject, what are the seven spring herbs in western parlance? Let's see ... I have them romanized as seri, nazuna, gogyo, hakobera, hotoke no za, suzuna, and suzushiro. I'm not sure I can get the kana to print correctly.

Thanks,
