Hi everybody,
I've been lurking this forum for the last week or so, and I must say that I've learned a lot just by browsing some of the old threads. I'm planning on going to Tokyo this summer to study aikido for 3 months. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice. Specifically, where to eat, stay, do, how to behave in the dojo, what not to do etc. My sensei found a guesthouse near the dojo where I'll be studying and it looks really cheap and good ( http://www.sakura-house.com/english/premise/sendagaya4_d.htm) Does anyone know anything about this place. All advice will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Aslak Berg

I should add that I'm a student so I am on very low budget here :-(

You should consider this:
Juyo Hotel
http://www.juyoh.co.jp/

email: info@juyoh.co.jp

I stayed there this november; ti is very dicent and 5 min. walking distance from Minami-Snejou station, so you can get anywhere in notime.

A really cheap place in Minowa (Tokyo) is the New Koyo. They used to have a website and probably still do. VERY cheap and not so nice but a chance to meet people, save money, maybe get bitten by bedbugs and see lots of down-and -outers in the streets too!
