I am looking for more info on the IFNB, which I guess is the old BIF - Budo International Federation. The Members used to be:

Katori Shinto Ryu - Sugino Sensei (before he died)
Takeda Ryu Nakamura Ha - Nakamura Sensei
Yoseikan Budo - Yoshida Sensei

I have watched a couple of presentations when I was living in Japan (early 90's) when it was called BIF.

Can anyone help.

You might try the IMAF (Europe). It seems to have some connection, but I hadn't heard of this federation before now, but if the Yoseikan was a member, and the TSKSR of Sugino, there should be a lot of information about it.

I assume you have made a search but try the back door (through other member organizations).

Edit in: You also may have seen this, but answers sometimes come from the most unusual places. This is Regarding Minoru Mochizuki, so if his history is here (it gives hopeful signs) it may get you where you are going.

You might try the Seifukai. This group is comprised of Minoru Mochizuki Sensei's senior students who refused to continue with Hiroo Mochizuki in Yoseikan. They still use the old Yoseikan building in Shizuoka, but they were all members of the IMAF and then changed to the next org. that I believe was the Nippon Budo group. I am sure about the IMAF connection and that there was a change over some differences that arose with Master Minoru and others. I have never heard of Yoshida in Yoseikan, though he may be a less active instructor from earlier years. At this time, the only representatives from the old Yoseikan are in Italy, Canada, and Japan. Hope this helps you in your search, but I would definitely try the Seifukai and they have a website.

Hi Rick

Here is the link of the IFNB. http://eiamt.free.fr/ifnbboard.html

Also... For your information Yoshida Sensei he's yes a earlier student of Kencho Minoru Mochizuki. He is a 7 Dan in Yoseikan aikido and hold the Menkyo Kaiden delivery by Minoru Mochizuki and he is STILL ACTIVE in is dojo of Tokyo (http://budofsys.hp.infoseek.co.jp/seifuindex.html) afiliate whit the Seifukai International. (http://www.seifukai.net)

"As a result of disorders in Japan two trends arose, the Kokusei Budoin Headquarters and the International Federation of Nippon Budo (I.F.N.B.). During the IMAF Worldcongress in Turin in 1986 several countries have chosen the side of the I.F.N.B. Austria, Denmark and France chose the side of the Japan Headquarters, Kokusai Budoin. The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and England chose the side of the I.F.N.B. By this time the countries associated with the I.F.N.B. are: The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, England, Poland, Czechy and Hungary.
Honorary President of the I.F.N.B. is Minoru Mochizuki, the highest graduated Budoka of Japan. His graduations: Aikido Meizin 10th Dan, Judo Hanshi 10th Dan, Iaido Hanshi 10th Dan, Supreme Meizin of YOSEIKAN BUDO."

I do not know of the International Federation of Nippon Budo (IFNB) being active in the UK (or even just in England), but the Kokusai Budoin (IMAF) certainly is. See:
