In your opinion, are any of the recent books/translations re: Musashi and his life worthwhile?
William Scott Wilson has translated Gorin no sho and has a book on Musashi's life, there is another one out by a Japanese author whose name escapes me.

Hi!
Hyaku sensei posted reviews of both these books on EJMAS.

There is also this review by Jeff Broderick.

I have read both books, and personally prefer Tokitsu Kenji's "Musashi - His Life and Writings". Having said this, both are worth reading.
