I didn't know that there were 3 vlomues, but I do have the first two. And they are in English.

BTW I believe that E-Budo requires for all its members to sign their posts with thier real full name.

Hello:

You can purchase Inoue Motokatsu's English language texts on kobudo here:

http://www.buyubooks.com/product_details.cfm?id=10676

Please note that these are more a translation of student manuals and not a translation of the original 3 volume set published in Japanese.

Thank you for the clarification McKenna sensei.
Those are the book I have which I treasure just the same. I managed to find them 13 years ago in Barnes & Noble. Now they are hard to come by.
Amazon.com doesn' have them either.
Now, are the Japanese books still available? and where may they be found?

You can find them here at Shureido under booklist (look for the characters for Inoue Motokatsu 井上元勝:

The catch with Shureido Japan is that they do not accept foreign credit card orders. You will most likely have to purchase them through a direct wire transfer or international money order.

Amazon Japan used to have them, but looks like they no longer have them in stock.

Hope this helps.

There is a guy who scanned my three volumes some time ago and offers them for exchange deals, as I have heard. I told him "no scans, just xerox", but I should have known better.

Well when I go to Okinawa next year, I'm going to have to make sure I have enough cash on hand when I go to Shureido.
I'll be bringing back alot of books, even if I can't read them. :)

Hello OldMan,

just the 1st volumes of the three volumes of the Kata books is still available, you could purchase it over Shureido Tokyo, the other arent available any longer.
I had no trouble in paying them with creditcard, i payed about 200€ for the 1st volume.

Sincerly
