We recently found a guy who does really good wood work and has made us a couple of bokkens. These are made to Sekiguchi Komei Sensei's spec (2-8-0 or 33.4 inches). The first set of pics are of an African Bokotae (spelling?) bokken that was given to Walt Bushey Sensei (Texas Komei Jyuku). The tsuka has the ito carved into it and feels very nice.

The next set of pictures are of an Ebony daisho (Ebony from Kenya). It has ito and same carved into the tsuka and the workmanship is excellent. It even has fuchi and kashira with Sekiguchi Sensei's mon.

Normal bokken tsuba will fit on these swords, but there is no saya that fits them out of the box. Bushey Sensei has 2 plastic saya put together for his and it is working pretty well. These are still prototypes, so they will constantly tweak a bit here and there.
