Well, that sure is one big surf. Does anything special happen in the last 2/5 of the video? Even after several tries the connection always broke down at that point. :(

Well the guy eventually wipes out but here is the interesting thing... I emailed this to several people and the most common reaction was focused on the wipe out rather than my perception of being in the moment with nature during the surf.

Incidently that clip was from a documentary on surfing called Step Into Liquid which I highly recommend.

Was this shot at Cortez Reef?

Big wave surfing is the 'in' thing. The race is on for the first person to surf a 100ft wave. One of the big surf companies has put up a financial incentive for the person (?? idiot, ?? hero, ?? daredevil) to do so. Any volunteers?
