A while back before the system crash I told everyone I would give a review of the Bu Jin heavy weight dogi, and here it is. But before I continue, please keep in mind this is merely personal opinion! http://216.10.1.92/ubb/smile.gif

Overall, a very solid Dogi. However, my first impression was that it was not quite as heavy a material as I was expecting. It was advertised as being one of the heaviest out there, but I don't think so. Thats pretty much my only main point of conjecture.

The inner liner, or the cool max liner, is amazing! http://216.10.1.92/ubb/smile.gif Very, very comfortable, its like putting on your favorite sweater! So that part is really incredible in my opinion.

I ordered a generic Large and found it all fit well, but I will have to trim the arms a little. I also washed it and put it in the dryer to shrink it and there is still plenty of room in it, which is good. A dogi I can just throw in the dryer and not worry about air drying.

The ties that hold the dogi together are not made of the same material as the dogi, and they seem pretty flimsy. I was expecting them to be of cotton duck, but they appear to be nylon of some kind. For my purposes, this is fine, but for somebody looking to do some heavy randori, you may wish to reinforce them somehow.

Appearance wise, very nice looking dogi. Good clean cuts, and it hangs well, at least on me. Fits very well into my Hakama in my opinion.

Overall, a good dogi. As I am Canadian, this dogi was a little pricy, but I am still happy with it. I know it will stand up for a long time. But I think perhaps for my next dogi, I will look into other places to see what else is around, but I will definetly be ordering their Hakama soon. And thats about it.

I'd recomend it, but do your own research as well.
