After much debate, forgetting about it and then now deciding to post it, I'd like to share some Tameshigiri videos with ya'll.

I only have four (two of just me and two of a guy I train with 'double cutting'.)

*Please excuse my poor technique ;)*

Would anyone else happen to have tameshigiri clips they'd liek to share?

Ehhh? Ehhh?

I love a good Tameshigiri video.

Very nice. You actually did Mizu Gaeshi on the videos labeled inazuma. Still very good though. =D

Why thank you, Paul :)

I've heard of that cut reffered to as Mizu Gaeshi in Iai-do where as we've been calling it Inazuma within Shinkendo for some reason.. It makes sense both ways, but we tend to say "Inazuma" more often than not.

I have heard some Shinkendoka reffer to it as Mizu Gaeshi as well, however.

Just one of those "Fun Japanese Phonetic" (FJP) things I guess :D

The cutting patterns usually refer to something in nature or what not. Like Mizu gaeshi roughly translate to as Water (Mizu) Returns (gaeshi), as you can see what by the cutting patterns and Inazuma refers to something with lightning (which is a kesa, yaku kesa, and kesa real fast without stopping, down the goza).

Now Nami gaeshi, thats where the fun starts/stops. lol

Hey Anthony,

What happened to the vids? Took 'em offline? :)

Yes, indeed, I took em down.

I came to the conclusion that I should have recieved sensei's permission before even cutting on my own, so I thought it best that they be removed :)

Aw well, perhaps at a later date :)
