My son has decided he wants to learn some traditional Japanese sword. Does anyone know of any teachers/dojo in Scotland?

My friend Neil Kemp (6th dan MJER) has a small dojo in Kilwinning just outside of Glasgow, and his students are over in Bridge of Cally area near Perth (two dojo to visit in really lovely places...I need to go again... :) ) Also one of my students has just finished university and is off back up to Forfar, which is fairly close again. He intends to continue iaido and is in the process of finding a hall to train in. Hopefully this gives a few more opportunities for people to start up outside the direct area of Glasgow and Edinburgh!

It's a lovely place, but it's about 2/3 the size of Newfoundland. A large country it ain't.

if you flatten out all the hills scotlands huge
i think he means it still takes a while to travel around scotland so narrowing down where the dojo is needed would be useful.
