Here is the art that inspired the Kodokan to place greater emphasis on ground work and which some BJJers, erroneously I think, believe to be a direct influence on their art.

Perhaps not what many people expected but I think the time of techniques exhibited here are quite consistant with other jujutsu styles of the era such as the Kito Ryu in approach, tactics and aesthetics. Unfortunately we do not have any groundwork exhibited here.
Interesting nonetheless, though.
