I just picked a couple copies of the book Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu - The Iai Forms and Oral Traditions of the Yamauchi Branch for myself and a customer. I finished it on the train ride home tonight and I thought it was a very worthwhile read. It has few pictures, but the text is professionally translated into English.

I don't think it is anyone specific. Just a cool image. I have to look inside the cover and see though.
