As a former phlebotomist (it's how I paid the bills while getting started in computers), I take exception to their prominent display of the term "phlebotomy" in the quackery links with only an aside to the clarify that they are referring to the practice of bloodletting. Phlebotomoy is not the practice of cutting someone's veins open in the attempt to drain them of "bad spirits". It is the scientific process of collections of blood (be it veinous, arterial or capillarial) for testing in a medical laboratory.

Phlebotomy, not blood letting, is an accepted and neccessary medical procedure in many instance. It is performed safely and humanely in thousands of patients in hospitals, clinics and doctor's offices daily.
