And this is worth pointing out :

There is no individual. No me. There is blind obedience, suppression of individual conscience, never ever questioning of a teacher or leader.

On a Japanese forum for expats one of the members was talking about how they were throwing in the towel on their karate training - and this was one of the reasons. Blind obedience, no questioning, no individual.

Sounds so different to what SK aims for. Oh, and she said "gi".

This was my first reaction also but still I found the part of how she hardens her body admirable.

Gassho

She sounds like good kenshi, throwing herself into her practise without any reserve, she's assessed what she has experienced, found it to suit her needs and is training hard.

I like it, it echoes with me.
