Meaning of tanakokoro

Hi guys,

A word that I hear alot at training is "tanakokoro". Does anyone know what this word or phrase means? I do know that kokoro means heart,spirit and mind, but what is tanakokoro?

Tanagokoro = palm of the hand.

Also pronounced shou, as in shoudai 掌大 (palm-sized).
